ASHEBORO – Randolph Community College has landed in some good rankings.
The two-year school announced that it held a top spot among community colleges in North Carolina, according to Niche listings.
Niche, a ranking and review website, placed RCC as 26th nationally.
Under a BestColleges list, RCC was placed 11th among community colleges in North Carolina. The school rated fourth by BestColleges for online associate in Information Technology programs nationally.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our faculty, staff, and students,” RCC president Dr. Shah Ardalan said in a statement. “Being recognized as a top institution reflects our commitment to providing quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment. It highlights the outstanding academic programs, resources, and opportunities that we offer to our students. These rankings affirm that we are on the right path in our mission to provide accessible and excellent education to our community.”
School partners with UNCG
RCC has set an arrangement with UNC Greensboro for an easier path to transfer to the four-year school.
This set-up offers students enhanced scholarship opportunities without separate applications needed. RCC students will have an assigned UNCG advisor along with transfer-focused campus tours.
Additionally, Tom Moore, UNCG’s assistant director of transfer admissions, will be on RCC’s Asheboro campus from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 27 to meet with students in the student lounge. Moore also is available to students for appointments through the “transfer promise” website.
