ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: David Lambright

Lambright is gearing up for a bid to repeat as a state champion in his senior season.

As part of another strong season, he rolled to five more victories during the weekend in the Greg Hardin Invitational, which was held at Eastern Randolph.

Lambright was a state champion in Class 1A at 126 pounds last February.

In December, Lambright picked up his 100th career victory in his third varsity season.

His final scheduled home matches will come in a tri-meet Jan. 21 vs. Jordan-Matthews and Scotland.
