ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Michael Shropshire

Shropshire has been dominant across the first half of the season for another strong UCA team. He entered this week with an undefeated record.

Shropshire was a 215-pound state champion last season in Class 1-A. He has been competing at heavyweight this season.

Among his victories, Shropshire defeated Eastern Randolph’s Maddox Carson, who was a heavyweight state champion last year, by 7-2 in a December dual meet.

The Eagles are coming off a sweep of meets during the Pin Down Autism Super Duals, which were held last week at UCA.
