Eastern Randolph, girls’ track and field
Corea completed a distinguished high school career earlier this month when she won two individual state championships.
The senior thrower won the shot put and discus in the Class 3A state meet. It marked the third year in a row that she won at least one of those events in an outdoor state meet. Corea also won an indoor state championship in the shot put in February.
So she’s a five-time state champion.
Corea will join the North Carolina State women’s track and field program after signing with the Wolfpack in November.
