Commencement will be held at area high schools across in the coming days.
Asheboro High School is up next with commencement at 7 p.m. Friday at Lee J. Stone Stadium on campus. It’s open to all unless inclement weather forces the ceremony indoors to the school’s gym, where tickets will be required to enter.
Other ceremonies are slated for next week.
Within the Randolph County School System, commencements will be held June 10 on campuses except for Uwharrie Ridge Six-Twelve, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Journey Church in Asheboro.
The other ceremonies are scheduled for Trinity (6 p.m.), Eastern Randolph (6 p.m.), Southwestern Randolph (7 p.m.), Randleman (7 p.m.), Providence Grove (8 p.m.) and Wheatmore (8 p.m.).
Stephen Gainey, superintendent of RCSS, rotates from year to year in attending commencements and is planning to be at Randleman next week.
Uwharrie Charter Academy held commencement last Friday. Randolph Early College’s commencement was held May 20 at Journey Church.
