Mitchell to stay as Trinity’s AD

TRINITY — Robert Mitchell will remain as Trinity’s athletics director after announcing earlier this spring that he would step down from the position in June.

“I will be waiting another year on retirement from athletics,” Mitchell said. “After meeting with (principal Brian Toth), I will be coming back for at least one more year as AD before stepping away.”

Mitchell, 38, is finishing his 13th year as athletics director at the school. He’s a past assistant coach with the boys’ basketball team.

The 2006 Trinity graduate had planned to finish AD duties before a vacation next month.
