Robbie Brown, left, was sworn in as the new police chief in the City of Asheboro last week. Brown, formerly assistant chief, replaced retired Mark Lineberry. Brown, who moved up through the ranks of the department since he was hired as a patrol officer in 1995, was joined by his wife, Brittany, and Asheboro mayor David Smith at the ceremony.
