ASHEBORO — More charges have been filed against former Asheboro City Schools faculty member Amber Walker.
The Asheboro Police Department charged Amber Walker, 39, with five counts of sexual activity with a student, 13 counts of indecent liberties with a student and two counts of accessing a computer to commit fraud. Additional warrants were obtained May 20 following an alleged incident earlier in the month.
Two additional victims have been identified for offenses that allegedly occurred at a South Park Street address and other locations. Police said their investigation also showed that Waker had accessed a computer database for the purpose of improperly altering student grades.
Walker, 39. had been charged May 8 on two felony counts of sex act with an Asheboro High School student.
Police said she was on the Asheboro faculty at the time of the arrest. She’s no longer employed in the district, school officials said. Walker was a school counselor since February 2018.
