Wheatmore is the Central Carolina 3-A Conference champion in girls’ soccer.
The Warriors clinched it with a 3-0 victory at Providence Grove earlier this week that came with goals from Tatum Wagner, Kayla Rosenbaum and Hallie Meyer.
Second-place Trinity had a 3-2 overtime loss to visiting West Davidson. Earlier, Trinity’s 6-3 road victory against Thomasville stretched the winning streak to three games.
** Uwharrie Charter Academy stayed alone in first place in the Four Rivers Conference after topping host North Moore 5-1 and drilling visiting Eastern Randolph 9-0.
The Eagles also produced a 9-0 victory at Gray Stone Day School.
** Kayla Hernandez had two goals and Jordin George also scored in Southwestern Randolph’s 3-2 victory against visiting Jordan-Matthews.
** Asheboro had a 3-3 tie at Eastern Guilford in the Triad Area Athletic Conference.
Asheboro then defeated visiting Southeast Guilford 3-2 on Friday.
** Randleman defeated visiting High Point Central 2-0 in the Piedmont Athletic Conference.
