ASHEBORO — Moses Cone Memorial Hospital has filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to relocate a linear accelerator and CT simulator to develop a new cancer center with medical and radiation oncology services.
It would be part of the Cone Health Cancer Center. The project is expected to cost $32.5 million and would be completed in October 2024.
A public hearing for this project will be held at 10 a.m. April 20 in the meeting room of the Asheboro Public Library.
Written comments concerning this proposal can be filed. Comments must be received by the Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section no later than 5 p.m. on March 31.
