Uwharrie Charter Academy’s baseball team will head back to a popular spot this week.

The Eagles will play the Class 1A state finals at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs on Friday and Saturday. It’s the same site where UCA collected state titles the past two years.

UCA (18-11) takes on East Region champion Perquimans (25-6) in the best-of-3 championship series.

Game 1 is set for 8 p.m. Friday. Game 2 is pegged for 2 p.m. Saturday. If a third game is necessary, it will be contested later Saturday – with the time depending on the status of the Class 3A state finals.

Also at Ting Stadium, the Class 3A finals pits Greenville Rose vs. North Lincoln. That series is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. Saturday and, if necessary, 5 p.m. Saturday.

UCA swept Eastern Randolph in two games in the West Region finals. Perquimans advanced by winning the first and third games of the East Region finals against Voyager Academy.

The finals for Class 2A (East Rutherford vs. South Lenoir) and Class 4A (Wilmington Laney vs. Asheville Roberson) will be held at Burlington Athletic Stadium.
