SOPHIA – Jason York continued his winning ways by winning the Late Models race Saturday night at Caraway Speedway. Tony Black and Dean Ward brought out new cars to try to stop York’s winning ways. Both had solid performances with Black claiming the runner-up spot. Ward was running second to York when a quick shower halted racing on lap 30. UCA, baseball McCollum is a senior outfielder for the Eagles, who’ll play this week in the Class 1-A state finals. He has been a key hitter during the state playoffs. In Game 1 of the West Regional finals vs. Eastern Randolph, McCollum provided two hits, scored a run and drove in a run. He also had two hits in the third-round game against North Stokes and the fourth-round game against Draughn.
