Randolph Health puts restrictions on visitors
ASHEBORO — Restrictions on visitors to Randolph Health are in place.
Youth ages 12 and younger won’t be able to visit patients at the hospital because of what Randolph Health has described as a steady increase in flu activity in the community and other medical facilities.
Regardless of age, all visitors and support persons should be free of flu-like symptoms each time they enter a Randolph Health location. Visitors under age 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
Restrictions were set to begin Dec. 30. Similar restrictions were implemented last January.
Restrictions can be lifted by care providers if special circumstances exist, according to information from the hospital.
Regulation visitation hours at the hospital run from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
