ASHEBORO – It was a busy agenda for the Asheboro City Council at its Sept. 5 regular business meeting as the council held five hearings all dealing with zoning or land-use requests. Downtown Asheboro Inc. purchased the building from the City of Asheboro at the appraised value for the purpose of historic preservation and has sold the structure to Clachan Properties. “We know they do great work and have a great track record,” said Addie Corder, executive director of Downtown Asheboro Inc.
