The sophomore thrower unleashed a heave of 118 feet, 8 inches to win the event by more than 3 feet at the throwing area outside North Carolina A&T’s stadium. The stadium at North Carolina A&T will be the site of this week's high school state championships for track and field. Asheboro, Randleman lead area teams to states CONCORD – Lance Everhart of Asheboro will be entered in three events in the Class 3-A state meet after winning two events and placing second in another in the Class 3-A Midwest Regional on Saturday at Robinson High School. Mark set two personal-best times in a dominating performance in Tuesday’s Randolph County championships. “Time is ticking,” Mark said of his urgency as a senior. WINSTON-SALEM – Lance Everhart of Asheboro placed third in three events in the Class 3-A indoor track and field state championships Saturday at JDL Fast Track. Numerous schools have stellar results for individuals ASHEBORO – Asheboro’s boys’ and girls’ track and field teams were superior in the Randolph County Championships on Tuesday. But the Blue Comets had plenty of company from entrants from other schools when it came to special individual performances. On the girls’ side, Brecken Snotherly of Eastern Randolph won four events on the track and Randleman’s Gracie Beane was strong in field events.
