Former Asheboro High School standout athlete Nick Coe was released from the roster of a Canadian Football League team. The Edmonton Elks released Coe, a 25-year-old defensive lineman, on Sept. 13. The two previous years, Coe spent time on reserve units or practice squads with the NFL’s New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.
