It’s the second-to-last week in the regular season for Randolph County high school football teams and the games have been moved up a night.

Because of weather-related concerns, the four in-county games will be played Thursday night rather than Friday night.

Eastern Randolph and Randleman are unbeaten in Piedmont Athletic Conference play. They’ll aim to win their respective games this week in advance of a showdown for first place on the final night of the regular season.

Randleman (8-0 overall, 3-0 PAC) is trying to dethrone Eastern Randolph (7-1, 3-0) as league champion.

Meanwhile, the winner of the Southwestern Randolph (5-3, 1-2) / Providence Grove (5-3, 1-2) game will be in third place.

In the Mid-Piedmont Conference, Asheboro’s matchup with Ledford (7-1, 2-1) is Senior Night for the Blue Comets (1-7, 0-3).
