LIBERTY – A Liberty police officer resigned from his position with the department after being charged with DUI following a crash while pulling into the police department to start his shift earlier this month.   Just before 6 p.m. Feb 14, troopers with the N.C. RALEIGH — The police department in Liberty, North Carolina logged on to its social media account last week to find that Facebook had “depublished” their page. Liberty is located in northeastern Randolph County with a population of just over 2,650 people.
