Ledbetter, Duggins lead Challengers at Caraway

SOPHIA – Gary Ledbetter had mixed results in Challengers features Saturday night at Caraway Speedway, where the track began a busy stretch of race nights. In the division’s first race, Ledbetter edged Brody Duggins in the 20-lap event, with Bryson Pickard placing third and Todd Garren in fourth. Dalton Ledbetter crossed the line first in the second feature, but that result was wiped out because of a technical infraction and so Duggins was declared the winner, while Gary Ledbetter was third, followed by Allen Vance and Pickard. Sanders shows stuff in Caraway return

Sanders, past standout as a Caraway Speedway regular, was the winner in Saturday night’s Mini Stocks race at the track. Sanders topped points leader Jimmy Crigger, who was second in the 40-lap event. Tommy Raino placed third. Josh Waldron, a fill-in driver, claimed the race in the Challenger series. Waldron was a substitute for Archie Adams Sr. as part of the “Caraway Strong” program.
