The Cougars won 48-40 on Friday night at second-place Randleman, which won the title the previous three seasons. Southwestern Randolph moved to 20-0 overall with three games to play before the postseason. Maddie Strider scored 17 points for the Cougars, who’ve toppled Randleman three times this season. PLEASANT — There were just a smattering of games last week in the area, but the Southwestern Randolph girls’ basketball team made the most of outings on back-to-back days. Southwestern Randolph won 39-33 in Saturday’s non-conference game at Mount Pleasant to remain undefeated.
