(PJ Ward-Brown / Randolph Record) RANDLEMAN — Southwestern Randolph clinched at least a share of the Piedmont Athletic Conference regular-season girls’ basketball championship, dethroning Randleman along the way. The Cougars won 48-40 on Friday night at second-place Randleman, which won the title the previous three seasons. Southwestern Randolph moved to 20-0 overall with three games to play before the postseason. Maddie Strider scored 17 points for the Cougars, who’ve toppled Randleman three times this season. PAC girls: Randleman rules again, captures tourney  

RANDLEMAN – Randleman tightened its stronghold on Piedmont Athletic Conference girls’ basketball. The Tigers won the PAC Tournament for the third year in a row. Friday night’s home victory against second-seeded Southwestern Randolph came with Chenleigh Robinson tallying 19 points and Audra Petty providing 17 points. Southwestern Randolph (23-4) received 14 points from Jordin George and nine points from Macy Allred. The Cougars are 0-3 vs. Randleman this season. Randleman has gone three consecutive seasons without a loss in PAC competition. The Tigers won tournament finals the past two seasons by defeating UCA and Eastern Randolph in the championship games.…
