UCA holds highest seed among county teams for girls’ soccer state playoffs

Piedmont Athletic Conference champion Uwharrie Charter Academy is the No. 3 seed for the Class 1A West Region state playoffs in girls’ soccer.

The Eagles open the postseason Monday against No. 30 seed South Davidson.

In Class 2A, seventh-seeded Providence Grove will start the postseason at home against No. 26 seed Black Mountain Owen.

Wheatmore, the 2022 state champion, holds the No. 17 seed with a trip to No. 16 seed Bandys.

No. 21 seed Trinity goes to No. 12 seed Hendersonville.

Randleman is seeded No. 32 with a first-round game at top-seeded Pine Lake Prep.

In Class 3A, No. 17 seed Asheboro goes to No. 16 seed St. Stephens.
