Collins makes it through Caraway special event

SOPHIA – Brandon Collins prevailed in the Enduro/Any Car feature in one of the highlights of the Crashin’ Hackett’s Night of Destruction and Terror on Saturday night at Caraway Speedway. SOPHIA – The season is winding down at Caraway Speedway and then last Saturday night’s card was called off because of concerns involving inclement weather. That could complicate matters as the track tries to get caught up. For instance, UCARs was set to have two features because of an earlier postponement involving that division. SOPHIA – There will be five additions to Caraway Speedway’s Wall of Fame this weekend. The new members are Donald Tucker, John Paul Linville, Junior Miller, long-time official Lance Childress and Riggs Racing. The group will be honored as part of Saturday night’s race card. Tucker was one of the winningest drivers at the speedway during the early dirt-track years. Then during the early years of racing on a paved track, Linville proved to be one of the most consistent drivers. Rose held the pole position after qualifying and then briefly lost the lead to Enoch McNeil following a restart. But once Rose got back in the groove, he cruised to the victory.
