Commencement dates have been set for the Class of 2025 at county schools ASHEBORO – The Randolph County School System reported a four-year graduation rate of 88.6% for the Class of 2024. That was a slight increase from the 88.1 percent for the Class of 2023. At 90.2%, Asheboro City Schools saw a rather large bump up in its graduation rate. That was an increase from 84.3%, marking the largest increase for any district in the Triad. The statewide average was listed at 86.9% (up from 86.5% from the previous year). High schools set to bestow diplomas in Randolph County (updated with RCSS graduation numbers)

Commencements coming up for hundreds of area students  Commencements for most high school seniors will be held across the next several nights in Randolph County. Hundreds of students will take part in ceremonies marking the ends of their high school days. Friday night’s ceremony for Asheboro City Schools is set for Lee J. Stone Stadium, where there are expected to be 307 graduates. Asheboro has the largest senior class of any school in the county. ASHEBORO – The Randolph County School System made a few principal appointments for the next school year. Dennis Hamilton is going from his role as principal at Randleman to become principal at neighboring Providence Grove. No replacement for the Randleman position has been named. Corey Culp, an assistant principal at Liberty Elementary and Grays Chapel Elementary School, will be the principal at Liberty Elementary School. Commencement ceremonies for most high schools in Randolph County are scheduled for next Wednesday. June 8 events will take place for schools in the Randolph County School System. Asheboro High School’s commencement will be a night later, coming at 7 p.m. June 9 at Lee J. Stone Stadium on campus.
