RANDLEMAN – John Kirkpatrick threw five of his six touchdown passes in the first half as Randleman blew out visiting Providence Grove 42-14 on Friday night in a Piedmont Athletic Conference football game. Tyshaun Goldston made five of the touchdown catches. Those plays covered 50, 33, 34, 41 and 20 yards. Kirkpatrick threw for 218 yards, completing 13 of 22 passes. The other touchdown pass from Kirkpatrick went for 9 yards to Jeffrey Guzman. The Tigers (7-0 overall, 2-0 PAC) still haven’t allowed more than 14 points in a game. Eastern Randolph goes for its third consecutive PAC championship. The Wildcats’ biggest challenge might come from Randleman. Those teams conveniently meet in the regular-season finale Oct. 27 at Randleman. There’s plenty to sort through prior to that potential showdown. Randleman, volleyball Carter was rated among Randleman’s top producers in several categories during her senior season on the volleyball team. She was the leader among the Tigers in service percentage and second on the team in aces. She also made strong contributions in blocks and kills per set. She played as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Randleman racked up a 17-6 record in 2022 for its fifth consecutive winning season. Carter was also a member of Randleman’s Piedmont Athletic Conference champion girls’ basketball team. ** During the summer, we recognize seniors from the past school year.
