Miss Randolph County earns top 16 spot at Miss NC

HIGH POINT — Miss Randolph County Tori Gross earned a Top 16 finish at the Miss North Carolina competition last week in High Point. Taylor Loyd, Miss Statesville, was the winner. Gross received two scholarship awards during the week of competition totaling $2,750. “My work as Miss Randolph County is not finished, and I cannot wait to finish out my year as I serve our great county,” said Gross after the competition. Asheboro Fall Festival returning as one-day event

ASHEBORO — After three years of cancellations, the 48th Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, as a one-day event. The festival will continue to feature arts and craft vendors, musical performances, and food. “While the Fall Festival has historically been held over two days, this year, based on the responses and feedback of vendors, attendees and community members, the Fall Festival will be a one-day event,” said a statement from the Randolph Arts Guild.
