Ledbetter, who was the fast qualifier, won the 35-lap Challengers feature, with Austin Harris the runner-up. Ledbetter had to come through much of the field after a redraw. SOPHIA – The chaos had to wait for the Crashin’ Hackett’s Night of Destruction. It was rescheduled for Saturday night at Caraway Speedway after last Saturday’s postponement because of wet weather and an unappealing forecast. The speedway is promoting this as the 11th edition of the demolition derby style activities at the track. The race card includes a 50-lap Enduro, 35-lap Challengers, 15-lap UCARs, 20-lap Mod 4s and 15-lap Bootleggers. SOPHIA – It was largely an endurance test for drivers during the weekend at Caraway Speedway. Saturday’s race card wasn’t completed until Sunday afternoon. It ended with Jason Garwood in front of Rudy Hartley for the Mod 4s feature as the final event of the card that was extended because of weather problems. In Challengers, pole sitter Enoch McNeill placed first ahead of Brody Duggins across 35 laps. SOPHIA – Gary Ledbetter had mixed results in Challengers features Saturday night at Caraway Speedway, where the track began a busy stretch of race nights. In the division’s first race, Ledbetter edged Brody Duggins in the 20-lap event, with Bryson Pickard placing third and Todd Garren in fourth. SOPHIA – The next regular racing night at the track comes Saturday with the Grand National Super Series holding two 50-lap races. There also will be competition in regular divisions such as Challengers, 602 Mods, UCARs, Bootleggers and Mod 4s. Brody Duggins edged Dalton Ledbetter to win the Challengers feature in the David Saunders Memorial competition May 11 at Caraway Speedway. Because of weather concerns, the session that had been scheduled for Monday was moved back a day. The testing of the big-blocked winged super modified was in advance of the North-South Shootout that’s about six months away – Nov. 8-9.
