The Cougars, who are the No. 3 seed in the West Region, won 25-13, 24-26, 25-15, 25-22 for their third straight home victory in the state playoffs. This is the third year of the current configuration of the PAC, with Eastern Randolph the two-time champion and unbeaten in 14 league games. Randleman, boys’ soccer Garcia has been among the leading scorers for the Tigers during their breakthrough season. The Tigers averaged five goals per game during three victories last week. Garcia scored in each of those games for a total of five goals for the week. Garcia is among a group of seniors who’ve helped Randleman rack up a 15-6 record through last week. Before this year, the Tigers had five consecutive seasons without a double-figure win total.

SOPHIA – Brandon Collins prevailed in the Enduro/Any Car feature in one of the highlights of the Crashin’ Hackett’s Night of Destruction and Terror on Saturday night at Caraway Speedway. Collins made it through the 50-lap event in the top spot. He was followed by Allen Vance and Justin Smith. The figure-8 race was won by Tony Black ahead of Buddy Allred.
