Randleman needed overtime to defeat host Trinity 74-69 with Greg Price recording 24 points, Connor Cassidy posting 18 points and Tyshaun Goldston providing 16 points. It’s tight atop the Piedmont Athletic Conference boys’ basketball schedule near the midway mark of the league slate. Trinity suffered its first PAC loss of the season when host Eastern Randolph won 81-77 in Friday night’s game at Ramseur. That was a rematch of last February’s PAC Tournament championship game on the same court, with the Wildcats winning that one as well. Eastern Randolph also entered this week with just one PAC defeat. RAMSEUR – Eastern Randolph is the last football team standing in Randolph County. The Wildcats won again in the Class 1-A state playoffs, rolling past visiting Hayesville 39-10 on Friday night.
