Uwharrie Charter Academy, baseball Wilkins has carried a big load on the mound during the postseason for the Eagles. UCA is 6-0 in the state playoffs, with Wilkins the winning pitcher in three of those games. The senior right-hander should have another opportunity in the Class 1A state championship series this week against Perquimans. Game 1 of the best-of-3 series comes Friday night at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs.
