Prep Football: Passing touchdowns propel Randleman, Eastern Randolph

RANDLEMAN – John Kirkpatrick threw five of his six touchdown passes in the first half as Randleman blew out visiting Providence Grove 42-14 on Friday night in a Piedmont Athletic Conference football game. Tyshaun Goldston made five of the touchdown catches. Those plays covered 50, 33, 34, 41 and 20 yards. Kirkpatrick threw for 218 yards, completing 13 of 22 passes. The other touchdown pass from Kirkpatrick went for 9 yards to Jeffrey Guzman. The Tigers (7-0 overall, 2-0 PAC) still haven’t allowed more than 14 points in a game. (PJ Ward-Brown/Randolph Record) RAMSEUR – Nicah Taylor returned two interceptions for touchdowns and two-time defending Piedmont Athletic Conference champion Eastern Randolph flexed in its league opener by shredding visiting Southwestern Randolph 41-0 on Friday night. The Wildcats (5-1) also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown. Quarterback Carter Revelle ran for a touchdown from 16 yards out to begin the scoring. (Randolph Record)   RAMSEUR – Nicah Taylor caught three of Carter Revelle’s four touchdown passes in Eastern Randolph’s 36-15 non-conference home victory against Southern Lee on Friday night. Revelle threw for 269 yards, with 212 of those to Taylor. Rayden West made the other touchdown reception for Eastern Randolph (2-1). West also intercepted a pass.
