Trinity suffered its first PAC loss of the season when host Eastern Randolph won 81-77 in Friday night’s game at Ramseur. Southwestern Randolph, girls’ basketball‌ George has been a productive contributor throughout the season for the Cougars, who are one of the area’s top teams in girls’ basketball. She’s a versatile sophomore. The Cougars won two games last week by defeating Eastern Randolph, with George scoring a team-high 15 points, and Wheatmore. That pushed the team’s record to 14-2. High school basketball state regionals, finals move to Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM – The high school basketball state finals are moving to Winston-Salem in March, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association announced Monday. The site will be Joel Coliseum. It will be part of a week-long stretch of games at the coliseum, where regional finals also will be contested for both the East Region and the West Region.
